I really loved the hospitality and comfort. The staff were really great. I loved our room. We were able to use the hotel facilities like the private bath and massage service. There wasn't a restaurant at the hotel but the staff were really helpful in directing us to a lovely restaurant two minutes walk away. It was the best meal I have ever had.

Attention to detail that the hotel staff have. It was the first hotel where my booking request for a higher floor was actually taken into consideration, although there was none available, they apologized for it. Still, big plus. Good japanese style room although simple in appearance.. Easy access from train station even with luggage. Great shared indoor onsen (open 24h). Reasonably priced open air private onsen (2000 yen/50 minutes). Yakiniko restaurant just next to hotel. Hotel gives an authentic japanese experience.
Breakfast in the room was simple and well under the expectation we had after reading comments here in booking and the room rate paid. Private onsen was too hot to the point we could only stay inside for short periods. Tv in the room is lcd but rather small. The hotel is supposed to have a club but it was closed.

Relaxing private onsen experience.
We faced some challenges. The hot spring water felt less therapeutic, almost as if it was just plain hot water. It was disappointing compared to other experiences we've had in Japan. One staff member seemed disengaged, lacking warmth or a cute attitude during our interactions, which stood in stark contrast to the otherwise friendly staff.

We only stayed here for 3 nights, as we didn't have time, nonetheless everything was good. Appreciated our room, it was very traditional and had a minibar, climate control and a personal safe. The hotel had an excellent location near Onsen.

Great location on river but near train station, large rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Very good traditional Japanese breakfast was a little intimidating but I ate almost all of it.
Staff have limited English but this was not a big issue at all.

They charged me extra for my child, and the room felt cramped-like we were cramming into a sardine can! Not the charming experience I had hoped for.

Hakone Suimeisou is located near Hakone Yumoto station which we can walk from the station to check-in at the hotel. The rooftop onsen is amazing and you can spend all night overthere. The service is great and the lady who arrange our breakfast can speak English and very kind to me. Oh! and the Yakiniku restaurant next to the hotel is also delicious hehe. But the hotel's sign is in Japanese, I stopped in front of the hotel but can't read the sign. They should put hotel name in English on their sign too. Besides that i'm impressed with this hotel.
